Evaluation of the “Speaking” Component of a Curriculum Applied in a School of Foreign Languages: An Action Research in a State University in Turkey

<p style="text-align: justify;">Speaking is considered as a challenging skill to improve it productive one which requires the learners be unique and creative in way they express themselves. Therefore, teaching speaking takes attention of researchers field English language teaching. “speaking” was integrated into curriculum School Foreign Languages state universities Istanbul investigated by researcher find out whether component program helped students their oral proficiency learn both efficiency sufficiency from perspectives well instructors that institution. For this purpose, eight within were taken five different tests weeks sequentially interviewed afterwards. Additionally, six who had school previously taking departmental courses at time study also give them chance reflect back on past experiences applied knowledge acquired school. Six working institution interviewed. One observed her real class environment. Results showed found “efficient” some aspects such importance given but there points needed consolidation just like materials.</p>
